making monotypes

I have been experimenting with monotypes (the process of printmaking where an image is made directly on a plate and one print taken from that image). I am loving the whole experience – the process, experimenting with design and the finished product! I started with block ink. Might seem strange but mixed with linseed oil it creates a textured finish that really makes for an interesting image. I have hand coloured some of my images with inks. Love love love it! Finished works are going to be amazing!
